This is completely subjective and should be at your discretion. Be sure to take a look at the photo gallery before making your decision to rent the property. There are not any areas of the property or houses that are wheelchair accessible. There are stairs, balconies, raised areas without railing and swimming pools on the property. Children are certainly welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children may not be left unattended on the premises.
For better circulation during the sunny hours of the day in the living room, we recommend keeping the doors open. However, if you are concerned about small children, you can certainly keep the doors closed. Please keep in mind that if the doors in the common areas remain closed, the common areas can get very hot. We provide floor fans to circulate the air, but it can still be very hot in the living room with the doors closed. There are not any air conditioning units in the common areas.
Yes, for the safety and security of our property and guests, we have strategically placed cameras in select areas. Here's a breakdown:
Inside the Main House:
Locations: Cameras are installed in the living room, kitchen, and bar.
Purpose: These are solely for security and are only activated when the home is unoccupied and the security system is armed. This is crucial during periods without clients or staff on-site.
Key Features:
Closed-caption only.
Nothing is ever recorded or stored.
When Guests Are Present: The security system is disarmed, rendering the cameras completely inactive. We prioritize your privacy and never capture, record, or store any video, audio, or images of guests.
Inside the Guest House:
There are no cameras inside the guest house.
Outside the Property:
We have monitored security cameras covering the exterior of both the main house and guest house.
These are professionally monitored by a licensed security company in Costa Rica.
An alarm system is also in place and activated only when the houses are unoccupied, unless you choose to turn the alarm on when your group is away. Please remember to take the alarm remote control with you when you go out if you turn the alarm system on.
We believe in balancing security with respect for your privacy.
